Digital Marketing, without any doubt, is the number one focus for all businesses that try to grow and bring new clients from the web. To gather the most helpful and relevant digital marketing tips, MusicSnake Magazine spoke with Fred King, a media and marketing entrepreneur and the founder of a Silicon Valley based digital marketing agency Global Marketing. Fred shared his thoughts on the most recent changes on the market and provided our readers with some valuable internet marketing tips.
Number One: Create 4 Webmasters
Create four webmaster tools accounts: Google Search Console (former Google Webmaster), Bing Webmaster (for both Bing and Yahoo), Yandex.Webmaster (for Russian yandex.ru) and Baidu Webmaster (for Chinese baidu.com). Submit sitemaps and constantly check for updates, error messages and tips. Yes, you need all four webmaster accounts even if you are focusing on the US market only. You question “Why do I need it for my local business?” is very reasonable. The more webmasters you use, the better indexation you have worldwide. And the better indexation you have worldwide, the more site traffic you get. And finally, the more traffic you have, the better indexation (even local) and faster site’s crawl speed you have. In addition to that, add Event rich results for your site.
Number Two: Focus on Mobile and AMP
Nowadays 80% of all internet users use their mobile gadgets. Also, starting July 1st, 2019 all new sites are being indexed using Google’s mobile-first indexing. Be sure to build your web sites that work well on mobile devices. Otherwise you will be invisible online, even though your desktop sites are very well developed.

I know you’ve read multiple articles about long-tail keyword strategies and how it is important to have your own content that will drive organic traffic. And this is still extremely relevant. Just make sure you have original content – check text and image originality via plagiarism tools and image scanners like Paperrater and TinEye. Also always use the right tools for keyword research, based on volume and competition level, and stay up-to-date on new Google releases.
Number Five: Use Auto-Share Tools for Social Media
There are multiple tools for social media post auto-sharing: WP plugins, Agorapulse, etc. Find one that works perfectly for your business, put algorithms for hashtags, tags, messages, add scheduling rules and fire your social media manager (kidding!). Just make sure your SMM specialist will test, setup and use new tools effectively, so your team stays on top of the updates by leveraging auto-sharing tools, chatbots and personal messages.
Number Six: Create Auto-Responders
Some of the businesses lose their clients simply because they cannot manually process all emails. There are multiple Gmail add-ons that can help you streamline the process and create smart auto-responds as well as connect your email to your phone and send important text message communications.
Number Seven: External Help – Website Reputation, Reviews
I know how important the first impression and online reputation is for each business. To make your business look perfect, use external publications and services that will write news articles for you as well as five-star review posts. You can also use vendors to add five-star map/app ranks that will boost the trust level and bring new clients.
Number Eight: Buy Followers
Everyone is doing it and you know it. My only recommendation – buy real followers. Fake followers will put your account at risk. Also, here is a funny story: one of my clients bought 100K fake Facebook followers and went for a very important business meeting with potential partners (VC investors). During that meeting one of the speakers, who pitched their product and its “following community” aggressively, shared the company’s Facebook page on a huge screen. But guess what? Facebook had removed those fake followers and it was just a few hundred real followers on the screen. Of course, the meeting wasn’t successful.
Number Nine: Buy Ads and Use Remarketing. It works!
Buy ads, but don’t throw your money out. The most effective way is to use remarketing strategy. No matter social media or search engines, the most effective way is to show ads to visitors who have already visited your website or social media users who are following your page.
Number Ten: Be On Top Of Updates – Things Always Change
This is probably the most important tip. Things change rapidly! I hate those old-school “pro’s” who claim to know the ideal formula. It makes very little sense to even mention black hat SEO strategy or count useless backlinks in 2019. It’s so funny how some large marketing companies train their SEO, SMM, PPC specialists as well as account managers using that one “ideal” approach. By the time they finish that training the approach and its “ideal formula” are not relevant anymore. Those companies simply cannot deliver the results. But what those companies can do effectively is charge you for their services.
